Gerry Tucker, Principal, Gerry Tucker Ltd
Gerry is a professionally-qualified Contracts and Dispute Manager, with over 22 years of contributions to the operational and financial outcomes of infrastructure and related IT projects in Asia. Within his own company, he has facilitated, managed & troubleshot infrastructure & related IT procurement, projects, contracts & claims, prevented, managed & resolved disputes. He also had acted as Arbitrator, Mediator, Expert & Dispute Resolution Advisor. Prior to establish Gerry Tucker Ltd, he was the Procurement/Project Facilitator at Larsen & Toubro Ltd. Earlier, he was the Chief Contracts Manager at China State Construction Engineering (HK) Ltd.


Bruce J. Williamson, Director, Tekno Training
Bruce has helped organizations in improving their business performance particularly to Contract Management and Service Level Agreement. He had worked on required extensive research and national & international contractual negotiations, in which he was successful in acquiring territorial operational licenses for both product ranges. Prior to establish Tekno Training, Bruce was the General Manager for Computer Service Centre in Asia Pacific Region for Collins Data System. He accomplished to redefine the performance standards and job functions for all operators, establishing key measurements for process times and inventory requirements and establishing lean manufacturing practices.


Peter CS Pan, Head, High Impact Projects, Multimedia Development Corporation
Peter has close to 15 years of experience in the high tech industry in both the private and government sectors with regional roles in managing engineering operations and key large scale government projects to attract foreign multinationals into Malaysia which then tripled the growth of MSC Malaysia (in the global sourcing services sector). Was also the Deputy Lab Head in the Economic Transformation Program lab under PEMANDU, focusing on the Business Services sector that will eventually elevate Malaysia to a developed nation status by 2020.


Joanna Loke, Senior Contract Manager, Global Consumer & CSG Contracts, Dell
Joanna graduated from the University of East London, was called to the Malaysian Bar and has a Masters degree in law from the University of Malaya. She spent 6 years as a litigation lawyer representing corporate clients from banking, finance and insurance sector. Her case work has been reported in a local law journal. She worked as a corporate counsel for an oilfield services company for 6 years thereafter, supporting their IT arm in the smart card industry, supporting the business in Asia Pacific. Later she was a contract manager at Accenture. During that time she also worked to streamline processes and introduce standardization and innovation within the team. She now works as a Contracts Consultant for the Global Customer Development team at Dell.













Anthony Goh, Senior Contract Manager, ALSTOM Power Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd

Anthony has an accumulated more than ten years of working experience in Contract Management. Before joining Alstom Asia Pacific, he was the Senior Civil Engineer cum Contract Administrator at Ishi Power. His hands on experience inclusive of administration, management and permitting services of Construction Contract for Medium to Large scaled projects including development of housing / commercial properties and Power Plant Specialist EPCC Contracting. Currently, he is heavily involves in supporting the Legal & Contract Management at head office in Switzerland on various assignments including risks management, developing standard Contract Terms and Conditions for Procurement and Subcontracting, developing standard contract administration processes, tools, manuals and procedures for in-house implementation and provisioning of in house training to staff.













Michael D. Lee, Director, The International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR)

As a head of ICDR/AAA’s Asia office in Singapore, Mr. Lee is in charge of the Association’s Asia region operation. Through his experience as an International Case Manager at AAA/ICDR New York office, Michael benefits Asia legal community with his first-hand experience and knowledge of its Rules and procedures by sharing his experiences and expertise in conference and workshops. Michael is also serving as a co-Chair of Legal Committee for AMCHAM (American Chamber of Commerce) Singapore.

Alias Hasan is the Vice President for group procurement in Axiata Group Berhad. He has been in the communication industry for more than 25 years. He has been involved in several high profile Tenders/Contract Management such as Procure To Pay Implementation, first 3G network implementation nation-wide, Group wide microwave tender and many others. Prior to this position, he was the General Manager for technical support and services for TM International, which he is activein due diligence and technology refresh. Alias earned hisengineering BSC from University Technology Malaysia and Masters in Communication Management from the University of Stratchlyde.













Nick Powell, Director, Axiom

Nick is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. His early experience was in heavy civil engineering and structural engineering projects, in both design and site offices. He then specialized in the management of contracts at various stages, operating in a project, commercial or contract management role. Axiom was founded in 1998 and he has since serviced a portfolio solely related to contract claims, arbitration and litigation acting for Contractors, Subcontractors and Clients for 12 years.













Megat Ishak Maamunor Rashid, Head, Regulatory Compliance and Regional Expansion, Tune Talk

Megat Ishak is a 15-years veteran in the telecommunications industry with focus on legal and regulatory matters. He was involved in the initial years of Maxis looking into various types of contracts, covering IT consultancy, procurement and service agreements. He also negotiated with IT vendors in ensuring the interest of the company was protected in preparation for the Y2K event back in 1999. Industry-wise, he was a member of the telco committee of legal advisors, which saw the setting up of an agreement to jointly combat fraudulent subscribers, and to set up shared network facilities. He was one of the architects who rationalized non-approved telecommunication towers, and ensured the improvement of nation-wide mobile cellular coverage.













Primila Edward, Former Legal Advisor, Bumi Armada

As a President of the Malaysian Corporate Counsel Association, a member of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (MIarb) and author on the chapter on Malaysia in the publication Getting The Deal Through – Shipping 2010, Primila has an extensive experience in negotiating and drafting contracts tailored for cross border transactions. Her experience spans across both domestic and international cross border matters and multijurisdictional work specializing in the Oil & Gas, Construction and Maritime Industries.













Zhihao Song, APAC Regional Strategic Sourcing Manager, Halliburton Sg (Confirming)

Zhihao is a strategic sourcing specialist who has worked in both Oil & Energy as well as the IT industry in the Asia Pacific Region. Specializing in initiating and rolling out sourcing strategies, Zhihao had achieved a significant APAC saving target of US$12 million in 2007 and US$15 million in 2008. He had also conducted Reverse Auction that worth more than USD$80 million. Various reports, scorecards and various communication channels were developed to manage sourcing/procurement teams in the entire APAC region effectively. He had worked with Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies Singapore and SAP.

Azahari has more than 10 years of experience in Contract & Risk Management in many world-renowned MNC such as KLCC Berhad, Putrajaya Holdings, Utusan Malaysia, Sapura Technology, IBM Malaysia and Acision Malaysia (UK based MNC). He has gained significant experiences not limited to just IT industry, but in construction, engineering, newspaper, telecommunications and Oil & Gas industries as well. He rolled out SEEQ process in Asia Pacific to facilitate efficiency in proposal submission and provided internal assessment and contract/commercial risk management services for MNCs for many years.













Haward Soper, Regional Contracts Manager Middle East and Far East, Shell Global Solutions

Haward have spent the last 30 years working in Commercial , Contracting , Procurement or Project Management , and he had worked for British Shipbuilders , McDermott International , NEI (now part of Rolls Royce) , GEC (now part of ALSTOM) , ALSTOM , Siemens and now Shell. He has a degree in Law from Dundee University and an MPhil in law, by research, from Leicester University. His recent experience has been in the design and management of large scale staged and gated electronic Contract Management Systems and in using them to control and record. He had spent a long time a few years ago creating a suite of matching fit for purpose contracts identical across the globe save for legally essential changes such as to tax or
liability or dispute resolution clauses.
